Experience the tranquil world of The Cottage at Lost Ranches

If you happened to catch our story about the beautiful Lost Ranches - The Barn, and liked what you saw, then you'll be stoked to hear that there's another accommodation offering located on Lost Ranches 50-acre property, called The Cottage.

Located in the Yarramalong Valley on the Central Coast the story of Lost Ranches dates back to the 1800s when it was owned by the earliest saw-milling pioneers of the area, the Bradley family. Today the property is owned by Travis Miller who together with friends Adam and Ricki-Jane Wilton have brought together their diverse life and work skills to fully recharge the property to what is now one of the Central Coasts most unique accommodation experiences, as Adam explains,

“Trav works in finance as CEO and Co-Founder of investment platform iPartners, and I owned a café bar in Melbourne for five years, and Ricki-Jane was working at the Victorian Racing Club for the Melbourne Cup. Then we went and worked on the superyachts in Europe and the Caribbean for seven or eight years and dealt with the wealthiest of the wealthy. When we came back to Australia we weren’t really sure what we wanted to do. We do have other jobs, but this is where we have landed and we enjoy it.”

The Cottage is reminiscent of an elegant traditional farmhouse and features a beautiful wrap-around verandah, surrounded by lavender it's the perfect place to sit and take in your surrounds.

Step inside and it's the charming design details you notice with Trav, Adam and Ricki-Jane all having a hand in the design choices, this time taking a more feminine approach with Adam explaining,

The cottage was built at the same time as the barn. Unfortunately the original homestead had to be demolished, however we did take the original site and charm of its character and built what you see today.

The Cottage accommodates up to 7 guests comfortably. The open plan dining/living room ensures there’s plenty of room for everyone and with the always amply stocked kitchen it's easy to cook up a farm-sized feast and settle in for the evening by the indoor fireplace.

By day Lost Ranches is best explored outdoors and a good place to start is by meeting the farmyard family of cows, go wallaby spotting and along the way discover the abundance of wildlife with the property adjoining the Ourimbah State Forest.
