As one of the Central Coast's southernmost suburbs, Killcare isn’t somewhere you're likely to find yourself just passing on through. As we make our way down the peninsula the windy hilly roads begin to merge with the lush Bouddi National Park, providing just a hint at what's to come.

It’s a stunning part of the Coast that should be on our radar a whole lot more, with its spectacular coastal walks, secluded beaches, gorgeous cafes and restaurants, and all the water sports you can possibly imagine.

In addition to all of this, there is, of course, Bells at Killcare.

Possibly one of Australia’s most stunning boutique accommodation properties, we were lucky enough to be invited to stay for what was one very magical night.

As you enter Bells at Killcare you’re given no indication of what awaits you, the minimal signage and mass of leafy greens hints that something special is tucked away. It isn't, however, until we checked in and took a wander that we could fully appreciate just how much love and energy have gone into making what Bells at Killcare is today.

Starting as a small bed and breakfast thirty-something years ago the property has over time been transformed into a luxury world-class retreat, with owners Karina and Brian Barry having a clear vision of how the property would evolve. What we discovered is a collective of cottages, suites, villas, immaculate gardens, a lap pool, a day spa, and of course, the exquisite Bells at Killcare restaurant that sits within Manor House.

Cocktails at the bar and dinner were non-negotiable and lived up to all expectations. Headed up by Executive Chef Paul Farraway, the menu is all about freshness and authenticity with each dish inspired by Killcare's natural surroundings, the onsite garden kitchen, and the abundance of local produce that's right on their doorstep.

A visit to Bells at Killcare offers that 'I am withdrawing from the world' kind of feel. The property's enchanting backdrop combined with Hampton-esque style interiors merges just the right amount of luxe with back-to-nature, providing the ultimate recharge that we all need from time to time.
