A new park is coming to the Central Coast

Gosford is about to get itself a brand new park, and it's set to launch to the public on Saturday 27th February!

Leagues Club Park has been transformed into a stunning nature-inspired regional play space, in the heart of Gosford and has been developed under the philosophy of local and authentic, paying homage to the region’s original inhabitants.

The $10million transformation of LCP to a world-class regional playground and recreation space is central to this revitalisation project and it will create a new activated space connected to the Gosford City Centre. The park’s design draws inspiration from the cultural and heritage values of Gosford the narrative of the Darkinjung people, being the traditional custodians of the land.

To celebrate a Community Day is being arranged for you to bring the family, pack a picnic and explore for yourself.

The day is going to be jammed packed with musical performances from local artists, Aboriginal cultural performances and workshops, food trucks, the new playground, face painting and a reptile show.

Most importantly the kids will have fun exploring the park through an interactive discovery trail, while adults can go on their own guided-tour of the space*

The day also provides a perfect opportunity to check out the innovative ‘tidal terrace’ that brings the bay into the park through a shallow waterway. As the tide rises and falls the terrace will uncover sandstone animal 'islands' inspired by the nearby Bulgandry art site.

Musical performances:

10am Lucy Parle
11am Niamh Watson
12pm The Fields Project
1pm Asha (duo)
2pm Brandon Dodd
3pm Ella Powell

*Bookings for these tours will be taken from the Discovery HQ on the day, with no more than 10 people per tour.
