Located an hour south of Newcastle, the Wyong Milk Factory makes for either the perfect day trip or drop in location if you’re on your way to Sydney or further south. There’s something for everyone, whether you're 5 or 55, or perhaps even a little wiser, from cheese tasting to craft beer and awesome playgrounds the Wyong Milk Factory has been built to keep the whole family happy.
Before you make your way to one of the eats and drinks areas be sure to spend a bit of time taking in the history of the site, which has been lovingly restored with a new lease of life since its 1907 beginnings.
The factory’s café is open for breakfast and lunch daily. The Wyong Milk Factory Tavern is open Thursday evenings through to Sunday and includes an eclectic range of eats and drinks. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a cold one in the Rusty Udder or Holy Cow Bar, eats at Chilli Secret Thai Cusine or seat Riverside you can’t go wrong.
The outdoor playground area is a hit with the kids, as is the massive indoor play area with the little ones literally getting lost amongst the double level maze of colour.
After a feed, go wild on the kayaks, rowboats and stand up paddleboards that are available for hire in the Wyong River. And don’t forget to hit Little Creek Cheese and Luka Chocolates before you go….it will go down lovely with a vino at the end of a fun-filled day!
