From Long Jetty to Hardys Bay, the Central Coast's coffee scene has stepped it up
Whether you prefer your coffee beachside or with a warehouse edge, there's a cafe for you to try on the Central Coast.
Owner Pete Andrews opened Legend Coffee in 2019 seeing an opportunity to bring something unique in the coffee culture to the Central Coast. Working with several different importers who bring in really nice coffee, you can expect the coffee to hit all the marks, a nice flavour that's not harsh or bitter.

A new addition to the Erina art, coffee, and wine scene in 2021, Studio Lane is a small family-owned business with owners Tom, partner Amy and German Salamanca, who is the owner and founder of Slow Well, all coming together to produce a multi-concept space that features a speciality coffee bar, proudly serving Marvel Street from Byron bay, and upstairs is The Fifth Lane handmade Jewellery studio.

Glee Coffee Roasters
If you know anything about coffee you will have heard of Glee, whether it’s from their Darby St days or sipping on their beans at your fav coffee spot. If you’re keen to experience the full Glee grind then Wyong is where you need to head. Located in the beautiful and historic Chapman Building owner Ben describes their coffee as being “rich, but easy to drink,” whilst you’re there hang around and order something yum from the menu and perhaps try one of their cold brews.

Lords of Pour are all about the “Killer brews and awesome chews”. The small cafe has a very casual feel and we’re pretty sure many of the customers here would be on a first-name basis, it really feels like home. The guys here are focused on simple house-made, quality food and drink. The house blend is by Sydney’s Single O and a roster of guest roasters make up this café’s single origin and filter offerings. These guys really know their grind, so if you’re into your beans, this is a must visit on the Central Coast.

Serving up coffee from Sydney boutique roasters The Little Marionette, your cup of whatever is going to hit the spot. Besides the coffee Green Tangerine this little Long Jetty gem bakes on-site some of the most delish baked goods on the Coast. Whether you go for something savoury from the sourdough and brioche range or something sweet, we suggest the Cronuffin, you won't go wrong!

The Glass Onion Society
A Long Jetty institution The Glass Onion Society has, since 2011, been delivering awesome coffee, a killer menu, and a creative space that welcomes musos and artists of all kinds. Even midweek this is a super busy little cafe and a must stop when heading down the Coast.

The Boy and the Rose
Tucked away in North Avoca, The Boy and the Rose caters to everyone and is a little bit fabulous in so many ways. A regular haunt for the locals who rave about the coffee, the food is equally as delish and together with its beachside location and friendly staff it's a winner all round.

Local Hero Coffee Brewers
Owners Caleb and Els say they share their devotion to the art of coffee for the true Heroes - the Central Coast locals they call customers. Both born and bred Coasties, this coffee couple lived and worked in London where Caleb learnt the art of roasting while Els fell in love with the smooth brew through latte art. Since returning to Australia they have an impressive resume and now they bring everything they’ve learnt back to the community level with the bricks and mortar shop front and cafe of Local Hero Coffee Brewers.

Like Minds Avoca
A creative space for like-minded people Mel and Jimmy and their much-loved corner café has become a regular spot for locals and those visiting the gorgeous Avoca Beach. Like Minds Avoca is a delightful and perfect mix of wholesome and substantial and the coffee hits the spot. The outdoor area/veggie garden makes for a peaceful sitting and sipping space no matter what time of day.

Albie's Coffee Bar
Ideally located at the corner of Tuggerah Parade and The Entrance Rd, Albie's Coffee Bar is not only the home of Veneziano Coffee Roasters, super delicious toasties and sweet treats, it takes in some of the best views on the Central Coast.

You can find this cute-as-pie café (see also first pic) at the beautiful Ettalong Beach. Doubling as a café and gourmet food market Coast175 offers a carefully curated breakfast and lunch menu that caters to all tastes. The essence of the café, along with their Campos coffee, is the love that goes into each and every dish, all made in-house using only hand-picked produce, the flavours speak for themselves.

At Ooomph it's all about the produce, where it's come from and then turning it into something oh so special. Using only organic local produce it's difficult to know what direction to take with the pizzas, burgers or those pastries all looking so tasty. Serving Five Senses coffee the Ooomph team have carefully considered all aspects of the business with the very cool warehouse space making it also easy on the eye.

Quality coffee and nutella doughnuts, what more do you need in life! Just steps from Terrigal Beach and with loads of seating along the footpath Island Time makes for the ideal morning and lunch venue. The poke bowls are a favourite as to the fresh flavoured juices.

The Fat Goose
This bakery/café located in Hardys Bay, that is on the southern end of the Central Coast, The Fat Goose is renowned for its hand-crafted Italian style breads, sweet, muffins, savoury pies and quiches. All baked daily it's hard not to get swept up in the easy-going coastal lifestyle that is Hardys Bay.
