The Boathouse, Patonga

A Hamptons-inspired pub with a nautical twist awaits you in sleepy Patonga. Pet-friendly and surrounded by bushland and stunning water views, The Boathouse will have you settling in for hours. The menu is large and is sure to please everyone. With local Rock Oysters and Seafood Platters to share, Steaks, Pizzas, Burgers and Beer Battered Fish and Chips, you simply can’t be disappointed. Pearls on the Beach, Pearl Beach

Sheltered by Norfolk Pines and beach grass Pearls on the Beach offers uninterrupted views of the beach and ocean, and some of the best scenery the Central Coast has to offer. Good Food Guide, One Chef Hat awarded multiple times, it’s hard to think that your attention could be removed from your views, that is until the food arrives. These generously served ‘small dishes’ give you the flexibility to either indulge in multiple smalls or select something more substantial from the large dishes section before finishing the meal with one of Pearls’ seasonal desserts.

Miori Japanese Restaurant, Umina Beach

If you are after Japanese cuisine, Miori Japanese Restaurant is a must with its authentic Japanese vibe of lit paper lanterns and dark wooden tables. Starters include Pork or Vegetarian Gyoza, Adedashi Tofu, and Chicken Karaage with a Teriyaki sauce. There is of course plenty of fresh sushi and sashimi to try, such as the Salmon and Kingfish Carpaccio with a ponzu dressing. A side of crispy, light Vegetable Tempura is also an absolute must. If you're looking for something meatier be sure to try the Wagyu Beef Miso Maki or the Salmon Teriyaki. A Sake tasting paddle is also available and is the perfect way to compliment your authentic Japanese dining experience.

Tropicana Social Club, Woy Woy

Recently re-opened and back bigger and better! Tropicana Social Club will have you feeling a million miles away on a tropical island with its amazing Hawaiian-vintage decor. There is a Tiki-inspired bar mixing up cocktails, which also offers a mix of craft beer, wine and cider. The menu offers a delicious mix of entrees and pizzas, and plans are in place to add Italian tapas to their menu. Not to be missed!

The Wild Flower Bar & Dining at Bells, Killcare

As you drive up the windy road with beautifully manicured gardens, you know you are in for a special treat. The Wild Flower Bar & Dining is within the five-star luxury Bells Resort and is perfectly elegant, romantic, and classy. The menu itself was developed by Celebrity Chef Sean Connelly and offers a range of Mediterranean dishes, with many featuring local seafood and ingredients from their very own garden. Highlights include Steak Tartare, Cape Grim (made table-side), Stracciatella - Salted Egg Yolk, Grilled Bread, Pappardelle with Rabbit Ragu and 800g Grass Fed Eye Fillet with Charred Fioretto, and Lemon Anchovy Butter. While your dining experience here will be on the pricer side, you certainly will not be disappointed as you enjoy a wine from their exceptional wine list overlooking the lush native landscape.

Osteria Il Coccia

Formerly of Bowral restaurant, Bistro Officina, Nicola and Alexandra Coccia have layed down their roots n Ettalong opening Osteria il Coccia, which brings head chef Nicola’s love of flame-cooked Italian food to life both in flavour and in atmosphere with Osteria il Coccia bringing a little slice of Italy to the Central Coast.

Safran

If you happen to live on the Central Coast peninsula and friends ask where to go for a really nice dinner, there will be a familiar response - Safran. Owners Natalie and Suleyman (known as Sulo) Kirbancioglu have become known for their consistently good quality Turkish cuisine. The fine dining format has been popular amongst locals and visitors alike for the last eight years. Safran is Sulo’s interpretation of traditional Turkish food, presented with a contemporary twist and is a highlight on the Central Coast dining scene.

Chop N Grind, Terrigal 

If you and your mates are craving a good burger, search no more. Chop N Grind is back in a big way after struggling through COVID-19 and rebuilding after a fire. They are a local, family-run business situated in a small relaxed space overlooking Terrigal Beach. On the menu you’ll find juicy burgers, amazing sides, craft beers, wine, and cocktails. Unpretentious, great tunes and cold beers, what more can you ask for?

Sea Bay, Terrigal

Sea Bay is small, unassuming and certainly not fancy to look at. However, it's often these little noisy, hole-in-the-wall places that seem to offer the best food, and if you are a lover of Northern Chinese food - particularly hand-made noodles, juicy dumplings and crispy shallot pancakes all made on-site, you will be hooked. Sea Bay is ideal for groups so you get the chance to taste all of their authentic dishes. I guarantee you’ll be back for more.

Kew Dining, Erina Heights

If you are after elegance and dishes almost too pretty to eat, be sure to visit Kew Dining. Situated beside The Ken Duncan Art Gallery, the setting is bright, and contemporary. Offering breakfast, lunch and a scrumptious high tea, classic items include fluffy Buckwheat Pancakes with a blueberry stew, Egg & Bacon Rolls on fresh turkish bread, and soft Poached Eggs on avocado. Kew’s lunch menu offers Pan Fried Calamari with chilli and lime, Bao Buns with lemongrass and ginger chicken and crispy skin barramundi on a nicoise salad. Surrounded by lush native flora it certainly is the perfect spot to unwind and indulge a little.

Suq, Wamberal

Suq in Wamberal is a warm, buzzy, intimate space offering a range of small and large Tapas plates, designed for sharing. Local owner Chef Micheal Guirguis has created a globally inspired menu that continues to evolve with an exceptional wine list. Exciting dishes at present include; Aged Balsamic and EVOO; fried goats cheese with beetroot, fig and quince jam, toasted sourdough; Japanese Style Fried Chicken, and a 300g Black label Cape Grim Eye Fillet, snow peas, forest mushroom and a red wine jus. Suq’s inviting space and spectacular menu make for an unforgettable experience.

Plata O Plomo, The Entrance

The Central Coast has been crying out for good Mexican food and alas, our taco prayers have been answered. Plata O Plomo is a Mexican themed tapas restaurant designed to please every demographic. Dishes include Jalapeño Poppers, Street Elote, Garlic Prawns, Enchiladas, Burritos and Taco Trios with your choice of Beef, Chicken or Pork. Kids have their own Mexican-inspired menu to choose from, and adults will be pleased with their Happy Hour Menu offered each day from 3-6pm, Margarita anyone? Ole!

Hotel Mezza, Wyong

A casual yet cosy restaurant offering Middle Eastern mezze plates and colourful cocktails, Hotel Mezza is perfect for a cosy dinner for two by the fireplace or a large banquet feast for your family and friends. With a beautiful 1930’s decor, you will be tempted with a range of authentic dips - labneh, toum, baba ganoush, hummus and sun-dried tomato with fresh Lebanese bread. Small plates on offer include Falafel, Lamb Kebab, Lebanese Spiced Squid and Chilli Prawns. More substantial plates include Lamb Kafta, Shish Taouk, Barramundi Sayadieh, and Stuffed Eggplant. Their cocktail list is vibrant with one of the highlights being the Zatar Paloma - Tequila, zaatar syrup and fresh grapefruit juice. One word of advice though, be hungry.

Osteria A’ Mano, Wyong

A little piece of Italy awaits you at Osteria A’ Mano. Chef Paolo Tisi brings you traditional family recipes of an amazing calibre. Dishes include Frito Misto Salt and Pepper Calamari and Prawns, Capesante-Seared Scallops with an Orange glaze, Gnocchi al Gorgonzola, Pollo - Rolled Chicken with Vegetables and Agnello Arrosto - Lamb with Vegetables and many other exquisite dishes.  The wine list offers a range of tempting Italian wines and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. If you are longing for authentic Italian food and wine, you certainly will be spoiled here.
