Gosford restaurant destination to be enjoyed by the masses
Pinnochios Wine & Pizza Bar isn’t new to the world of alcohol takeaway economy, in fact it’s been a big focus for the restaurant since they launched their dedicated Pinocchinos delivery app over two years ago. In fact, pre-lockdown, they were the only venue on the Central Coast to hold a license for alcohol deliveries from a restaurant, so it turns out everyone else is just playing catch ups with these guys!
If you’re after perfect Italian food with a beautifully matched wine or cocktail, you need to get ordering or book a coveted seat in the restaurant, which sits opposite Gosford’s Kibble Park, on the ground level of the Imperial Centre.
The hero of the menu for Pinocchios is definitely the arancini, as well as the traditional style, thin-base, hand-stretched pizzas. The pizza base recipe has been perfected over the last four years to deliver a light crusty flavour and is proving to be a crowd pleaser. Since lockdown the guys have not only been delivering their premium wines “business-as-usual”, but they’ve also mastered the art of batched and single serve cocktails delivered straight to your door, which have been massively popular. We highly recommend the chilli margarita called the “Miami Heat” and the delicious passionfruit capriosca.
With restrictions easing recently to make way for a return to in-restaurant dining, Pinocchios are prepped and ready to have keen diners back on premises, while observing distancing rules. Co-owner of the restaurant, Tara Dickinson said that the hygiene of the restaurant has been of paramount focus for the team, so much so that it’s now just become part of their everyday practices.
“We’re all about providing a safe clean space for people to come see each other and share their stories, which is where the name Pinocchios came from. We want people to meet here and tell their stories, especially here in the “new world.”
Their online booking system is divided into three sets of 90-minute dining times, which they adhere to strictly to allow for cleaning before the next sitting starts. As per regulations, there can only be 30 people in the restaurant at any one time, which the booking system automatically manages and can let you know if there’s availability.
