Welcome to the Jungle! The outdoor dining precinct at Westfield Tuggerah has gained a jungle paradise in Longbrows, a South American-inspired tiki bar that will transport you deep into the Amazon. 

Featuring a dining menu inspired by food trucks and the street foods of Argentina, Brazil, and Chile, top-shelf cocktails, and an Instagram-worthy jungle decor, you cannot miss Longbrows, located on the frontage of the Westfield entertainment hub. 

Playing host to live music, DJs, and events, filling a gap in the nightlife scene in this western pocket of the Central Coast. 

Westfield Tuggerah has its share of restaurant chains, and with the addition of a cinema and the iPlay arcade, has made its move towards a premium entertainment quarter. However, the area has not seen the likes of a custom cocktail bar like those found in the evening destinations of Gosford and Terrigal. 

“We saw a bit of a gap in this area of the coast and while we have great food, Longbrows is not just a restaurant but a cocktail bar. We’re open for lunch and dinner seven days so we are a place you can come anytime, with a cool vibe all the time,” says creator Justin Hyland.

Justin, one of the co-founders of Terrigal’s highly popular Mumbo Jumbos and his wife Emily's latest venture is a project built alongside Bar Botanica owner, Eddie De Souza. While you can expect a similar vibe to Mumbo’s, the vision is wildly different with a new take on Tiki that is less pigeonholed to the rum-soaked Caribbean as it explores gin and vodka cocktails and punchy Colombian food flavours.

“It’s as if you were having a Tiki cocktail in the Amazon jungle, we want to create that vibe and experience for people. Tiki bars are known for a dark, glowy, neon aesthetic, so we wanted to combine that with the greenery of the jungle,” says Emily. 

The style of Longbrows is undeniable - from the decor, wicker furniture, cocktail glasses, and menu flavours of chimichurri, chipotle, and smoke. This is not your typical beach-style Tiki but has a unique depth and boldness to it that fits right into the urban, industrial surroundings of Tuggerah. 

It will play host to old-school 90s hip-hop nights each Thursday, regular DJ sets and Sunday sessions are in the pipeline to make Longbrows Jungle Bar a go-to for quality drinks, tasty food, and live entertainment.
