That sweet tooth tingling for something new and exciting? Look no further…We have your go-to dessert treasures from the Central Coast, Port Stephens, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.

Central Coast
The Bon Pavilion
Executive chef Sean Connolly of The Bon Pavilion in Gosford is shaking things up this Spring introducing the ‘Dropped Softie.’ Created with memories of taking on a soft-serve ice-cream, licking up sweet flavours before dropping half of the melted sweet goodness on the ground and wishing there was more. Imagine ice-cream versions of classic biscuits and cakes, including the Mint Slice, Wagon Wheel, Iced VoVo, Monte Carlo and Carrot Cake.

bombini
The bombini raspberry & cream – it's been a feature on the menu for five years now, all the way back when bombini first launched. Chef Cameron Cansdell hasn't been able to take it off the menu becoming such a signature classic amongst locals and visitors alike. This dessert is an insane pairing of raspberry sorbet, soft meringue, cream, fresh raspberries and prosecco jelly, you literally die and go to dessert heaven.

Yellowtail Restaurant

You'll find this little gem beachside in Terrigal, and the purpose of our visit? It's all about the Duck Egg Caramel. An incredible combination of duck egg custard, miso caramel, mandarin granita and biscotti, Yellowtail Restaurant is led by Executive Chef and owner Scott Price and one you need to experience for yourself.

Hunter Valley
Sabor
With to die for desserts and spectacular views over the Hunter Valley Vineyards, Sabor is the place you truly can’t resist. My personal favourite is the Salted Caramel and Chocolate Tart paired with their fruity peach iced tea. However, it's hard to say no to the Flaming Choc Caramel Brownie. A warm decadent Brownie served in a hot skillet, from dark chocolate & Dulce De Leite (South American Caramel), and served on choc. & butterscotch sauce. A touch of Whiskey is added to your hot skillet and set it alight. Get your camera ready this is a opportunity you and your tastebuds will thank you for.

Cocoa Nib
The place to go for all things artisan chocolate. Aimee and the team are known for creating luxurious delights with stunning designs and melt in your mouth flavours. Located at Keith Tulloch Wines the cafe space offers a wide selection of tasty cakes, tarts and treats for you to sink your teeth into. You don't have to drive all the way to the Hunter Valley to collect these delicious little sweets, Cocoa Nib is also located at The Junction.

Newcastle
The Hood Milk Bar
Not only are there 28 different gelato flavours at The Hood, but they're now serving Dessert Tacos, Coco Milo Smoothies, Gelato Bowls, Chocolate Dipping Pots, Jaffles of all flavours. Our go-to is the warm chocolate lava cake with vanilla and chocolate gelato and chocolate sauce or the chocolate dipping pot with its fresh seasonal fruit, caramelised nuts, vanilla gelato and that warm pot of milk chocolate.

Coco Monde
It's a hard one to go past, Coco Monde on Darby St is a dessert lover’s heaven! Spanish churros Belgian waffles, French style crepes, rich chocolate mousse, jaffa crème brûlée, chocolate fondue for two, Belgian chocolate dipping pots with fresh strawberries, and don’t look past the exquisite range of handcrafted chocolates all made on site. Coco Monde also serves high tea.

Pekarna
Offering a fresh new twist on pastry delicacies. Pekarna, a Czech word meaning bakehouse Pekarna is all about delicious creamy coffee from their German barista, and tasty Czech and European pastries and tarts. The ‘Bee Sting’ is a must try, a custard-filled pastry topped with toasted honey almonds, which has become a crowd favourite.

Port Stephens
Little Beach Boathouse
Offering award-winning views Little Beach Boathouse is the perfect place to relax after a day out in the Bay. The Chocolate Rockpool dessert is hard to say no to with milk chocolate ganache, dark chocolate torte, white chocolate custard, sour cherry gel, fresh strawberry & churros chunks. Alternatively why not just go with the tasting plate and tantalise your tastebuds with a bit of everything.

Nero’s Gelato Cafe
Craving a creamy gelato or ice-cold sorbet after a day in the sun, then head to Nero’s Gelato Cafe. Located right in the heart of Nelson Bay on Magnus Street, all the gelato is made on-site and is set to make your mouth water.
