Hear from Rosie Batty as she shares her story | 10 May

Join Belmont 16s Sailing Club for an inspiring afternoon at the Harbouring Hope Lunch, featuring special guests Rosie Batty AO and Steph de Sousa.

Rosie Batty, renowned for her tireless efforts in advocating against family violence, will share her journey of resilience and finding peace after the tragic loss of her son Luke to domestic violence.

Adding a dash of culinary flair to the event is MasterChef alumni and Lake Macquarie local, Steph de Sousa. With her vibrant passion and dedication to supporting domestic violence prevention, Steph promises to bring a unique perspective to the table. Guests can also have their copies of her cookbook, The Air Frying Queen, signed by Steph.

The Harbouring Hope Lunch is also a chance to network and connect with like-minded individuals and community leaders. And let's not forget the gourmet feast awaiting attendees – a two-course lunch accompanied by two and a half hours of beverages.

What’s more, the event features an exciting auction with extraordinary prizes generously donated by the Belmont 16s Sailing Club. From sailing lessons for kids to exclusive dining experiences at Martha, there's something for everyone. All raffle proceeds go towards supporting the vital work of Got Your Back Sista, a local charity dedicated to helping women and their families rebuild their lives after escaping domestic violence.

Tickets are available for tables of 10 or individual seats, so gather your friends, colleagues, or family for a meaningful afternoon dedicated to moving towards a future free of domestic violence.
