Spa Lucca

A whole internal and general wellbeing experience

From the moment you step into Spa Lucca, located within the Anchorage at Port Stephens, there is an instant stillness that surrounds you.

Since its opening about two years ago, Spa Lucca has established itself as a luxury spa among hotel guests and visitors. The name Lucca is the name of a pristine and gorgeous city in Tuscany, Italy and Spa Lucca tries to replicate this throughout.

You begin your journey into the change room where you slip into a 100% Italian linen robe. Guests are invited to arrive an hour before their treatment where they are asked to fill out a consultation form, relax and unwind with a herbal tea or make use of the hydro suite which includes a Jacuzzi and steam room.

Spa Lucca offers a wide range of treatments including massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps and mineral immersion baths.

Spa Lucca is about the whole body experience from the moment you walk through their front door and not just about the treatment itself.

The spa’s manager, Danielle, explains that they use three Sodashi essential oil blends throughout each treatment, using the first as an inhalation to begin.

For my treatment I got to experience the Vichy, which is where they conduct all their body treatments and is essentially a water bath laying down. The colours of the capsule change throughout the treatment to help connect you with different emotions.

Babor are the beauty products Spa Lucca use during all their treatments and I was left with my skin feeling hydrated and absolutely ah-mazing!

Once the treatment is over you are invited to sit back upstairs with a tea or glass of water and relax for as long as you need, they don’t rush you back out the door to the hustle and bustle of reality.

Since July, Spa Lucca also offer yoga classes and a new treatment menu which incorporates more holistic treatments for people who want a little more than your usual massage or facial.
