With a seafood restaurant upstairs and casual waterfront bar downstairs, Little Beach Boathouse is the perfect spot for a long lunch, relaxing dinner or an evening of cocktails and oysters whilst watching the sun go down.
Let’s start upstairs. Since opening in 2013 the restaurant has become well known amongst locals and tourists, for its super fresh seafood menu, family friendly atmosphere and those amazing views. Specialising in locally caught seafood, the restaurant’s menu features Port Stephens rock oysters, local king prawns, and market fish of the day, along with a handful of land-based, vegetarian and gluten free options.
Downstairs is the Little Beach Bar. Here you can sit outside on the wharf, enjoy the salty air, sip on a local ale from Murrays and watch the sun go down over Port Stephens, perfection! Launched in August 2016, the bar is situated in the old chandlery on the ground floor of the old Little Beach Marina. Right down on the water, with uninterrupted water views, it is so easy to just settle in here for the night.
There’s cocktails, craft beers and local wines to sip on, and a light tapas style menu which includes oysters (of course) and plenty of bar snacks. Along with a selection of dessert jars, such as coconut and almond five spice pannacotta, triple choc brownie or citrus tart with meringue. The Little Beach Bar is the perfect spot to start and end the night, or just settle in for the entire evening. There’s no better place to be!
