Praise Joe, a staple for all Tighes Hill locals, has officially opened its second location at Westfield Kotara. Opening at the start of November, the team has been thrown headfirst into the holiday season and couldn’t be happier to be a part of the chaos. 

A surprise to even owners, Hayley and Phil, the location came to be after only a little over four short months of work. Being approached by Westfield Kotara about the space, the pair hadn’t considered a second location prior, yet were confident to give it their all. 

The challenge of packed-out shops and crazy car parks is no worry for the team. Happy to be meeting their new locals and getting amongst the fun, they’ve truly embraced the busy season.

“With Christmas time, and the end of lockdown everyone’s really excited to be out,” Hayley says.

Alongside the team from SDA in The Junction, the pair’s ideas and plans were brought to life. Complete with a statement concrete benchtop, pops of pink, and an impossible-to-miss neon sign, the site has been completely transformed. 

The new site affectionately referred to as Praise Joe 2.0 has brought out all the stops to bring its own style to life. Stocked with Pablo and Rusty coffee and enough treats to fuel some serious retail therapy, the site is a must-visit on any shopping trip. 

With space for a bigger food display than the OG store Tighes Hill, the Kotara location has doubled up on their sweets and treats, offering something for any shopper to stop and enjoy.

Well-known for their handmade made treats, from scrolls to sausage rolls to fan favourites including the loaded cookies and mega brownies; there’s a flavour suitable for everyone’s tastes.

Another special treat for the Kotara location, the Praise Joe team has teamed up with the guys from Mayfield West Charcoal Chicken to make a charcoal chicken sausage roll. Charcoal chicken and flakey pastries? It was the collaboration we didn’t know we needed and now can’t live without. 

But fear not, if that’s not your style there is still a range of vegetarian and vegan treats, both sweet and savoury; the team at Praise Joe is sure to leave no one out. 

With no plans of slowing down now they’ve opened their second location, there are whisperings of a third site opening in town at the new Swift on Hunter development happening over the next two years.
