Coco Monde

Divine chocolateria dessert cafe on Darby Street, Newcastle

Coco Monde is a dessert lover’s heaven! Spanish churros, Belgian waffles, French-style crepes, rich chocolate mousse, jaffa crème brulee, chocolate fondue for two, Belgian chocolate dipping pots with fresh strawberries, and don’t forget their exquisite range of handcrafted chocolates. Coco Monde is all about chocolate, if you couldn't guess!

The unique thing about Coco Monde is that everything is made on site, including all the chocolates, ice-creams, honeycombs, marshmallows and cakes. At the rear of the café is a busy little chocolate factory, where their sweet delights are handcrafted by their team of chocolatiers and chefs.

But wait there’s more … look beyond the dessert menu, this chocolateria has a pretty impressive Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner menu. Their café menu features modern Australian cuisine with numerous French and Mediterranean influences thanks to owner and head chef Justin Moran, whose career as a chef has taken him all over the world, to cook for the rich and famous. After returning to Newcastle though nearly 3 years ago, Justin and his wife Mirja decided to open a chocolateria in Darby Street, and Coco Monde was born.

A secret that you may not know about Coco Monde is that it offers High Tea, any day, any time just ring ahead to book. From 2 to 40 people, Coco Monde serves a High Tea consisting of 2 courses (sweet and savoury) featuring their to-die-for chocolate dipping pots and macarons.
